Project Cargo Shipments / Heavy Lift

DSG offers tailor-made services for cargo which is larger than standard shipping container size, or for which standard container vessel shipping is uneconomical.

Examples:
  1. DSG employs vessels with heavy lift capabilities of 500 metric tonnes or more. Cargoes handled before include Tunnel Drilling Equipment of over 120,000kgs per unit.
  2. DSG has also shipped oil exploration products such as drill pipes and equipment which are over 3,000CBM in a shipment.
  3. DSG has also shipped heavy lifting equipment such as Mobile Cranes for the Construction industry.
Cross-Trade Traffic / Drop Shipments, including Switch B/L

"Switch" bills of lading are a second set of bills of lading issued by the carrier (or by the carrier's agent) in substitution for the bills of lading issued at the time of shipment. The agent who is requested to issue the second set is often located in a port other than the load port. If the holder of the bills decides that the first set of bills is unsuitable for any reason, the carrier issues switch bills to satisfy the new requirements of the bill of lading holder.

Some of the reasons are: -
  1. The original bill names a discharge port which is subsequently changed (e.g. because the receiver has an option or the goods have been resold) and new bills are required naming the new discharge port.
  2. A seller of the goods in a chain of contracts does not wish the name of the original shipper to appear on the bill of lading, and so a new set is issued, sometimes naming the seller as the shipper.
  3. The goods were shipped originally in small parcels, and the buyer of those goods requires one bill of lading covering all of the parcels to facilitate his on-sale. Conversely, one bill may be issued for a bulk shipment which is then to be split into multiple bills covering smaller parcels.
Sea / Air Transshipments

International transportation service: sea, air, inland transportation, air & sea multi- transportation, and transshipment at the 3rd country.

Chartering (Sea / Air)

The chartering mainly covers 4 types: Voyage chartering, Time chartering, Bareboat chartering and COA. DSG can provide a suitable solution according to your specific requirements.

NVOCC (Sea / Air)

NVOCC refers to the Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier. The enterprise accepts cargo as a carrier, undertakes the carrier's responsibility, issues their own bills of landing and debit note, and provides international transportation service in accordance with the law.

Door-to-Door Deliveries to Worldwide Destinations

Through its extensive network, DSG can easily arrange for door-to-door deliveries to any destination.

LOCAL LOGISTICS

DSG's experienced Personal Effects team means that every requirement is tailor-made to suite your individual needs, with the ultimate aim of reducing the hassle to a minimum.

Shipment Consolidation

Over 60 cents of each logistic dollar is expended for transportation. Transportation cost is directly related to the type of product, size of shipment, and movement distance. As a general rule, the larger a shipment and the longer the distance it is transported, the lower is the cost per unit. Consolidation requires innovative programs to combine small shipments for timely consolidated movement.
